Family Business; How To Make It Work” an Exciting Format Change for Our Upcoming Propeller Club Meeting

30 May @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Dear Propeller Club Members,
I am thrilled to announce a refreshing change to our upcoming monthly meeting scheduled for May 30th. Departing from our usual lunch meeting format, we will instead gather for an evening over dinner, a panel discussion, and a speaker presentation, embracing critical and increasingly relevant topics of “succession” and “management” in family businesses.
The evening will commence with a cocktail and networking session at 18:00, providing a perfect backdrop to welcome the beautiful spring weather and engage in meaningful conversations. At 19:00, we will transition to a panel discussion featuring three distinguished senior executives from some of Turkey’s leading family enterprises: Ali Alpacar, Kadri Samsunlu, and Mehmet Aktaş.
We will connect live with David Bork from Colorado, USA. Many of you will recall his reputable consultancy services to renowned groups such as Koç, Eczacıbaşı, and Yaşar Topluluğu. His deep familiarity with Turkey and Turkish companies adds a unique perspective to our discussions on family business dynamics. The night will be adeptly moderated by our esteemed member, Rıza Kadılar.
In these interesting times, this meeting promises to be a whirlwind of valuable knowledge and teachings that are essential for capturing the future. As we discuss the successful transition of companies to future generations and the stability of institutions across generations, it’s pivotal to note the significant role of family businesses. In Turkey alone, these enterprises constitute a substantial portion of our economy, with thousands of family businesses playing a crucial role. Globally, such businesses contribute immensely to both local and international markets, making the discussion of their management and succession crucial not only for individual families but for economic stability at large.
If you have any questions for David Bork or our other distinguished panelists, please share them in advance to enrich the dynamic flow of our discussion. I also take great pleasure in sharing a copy of David Bork’s “Red Book” in web site which I believe you will find enlightening ahead of our gathering.
Please make sure to reserve your spot promptly to avoid any inconvenience, as we anticipate a full house. Stay tuned for further reminders in the coming days.
RSVP: Confirm your attendance by emailing Ms. Özlenen Sezer at propeller@propeller-club.org.tr by Monday, May 27, 2024. Please note that last-minute changes to the guest list will not be feasible. Please note that last-minute changes to the guest list will not be feasible.
The dinner fee is 1200 TL, which includes three soft drinks, with a cash bar available. 1 glass of red or white wine will be served free of charge with meals.
Cancellations are accepted up to three days before the event. Photography Notice: Images captured at our meetings will be shared on the Club’s private social media platforms.
We look forward to an afternoon of insightful discussions and networking.

Warm regards,
