The Propeller Club Port of Istanbul gathered on Thursday, December 19, at Galataport for their final meeting of 2024. In this special event, we hosted Erdem Tavas, Board Member of Galataport Istanbul, and Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası, President of the Paris Bosphorus Institute.
In his captivating presentation, Erdem Tavas provided us with an insider’s perspective on how Galataport Istanbul, with its 1.2 km long coastline and $1.7 billion investment, has become a modern cruise port and shopping district attracting millions of visitors. We also had the opportunity to closely observe Galataport Istanbul’s architectural and technological vision. This significant investment, crucial for Turkey’s economy and promotion, once again proved to be a prime example of maritime and urban innovation.
Dr. Bahadır Kaleağası shared his analyses on what awaits Turkey in 2025 in the realms of international diplomacy, regional affairs, domestic politics, and the economy. His insights helped us think about economic and diplomatic strategies, the opportunities and challenges ahead for Turkey, geopolitical tensions, and the impacts of economic changes.
