At a time when global politics and economics are reshaping long-standing balances, we are pleased to invite you to our distinguished luncheon on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Istanbul, where intellectual depth and analytical clarity will take center stage.

Under the theme “Outlook 2026: Global Politics and Economics Reflected in Turkey,” two distinguished voices who not only observe but also reinterpret the global agenda—Dr. Ahu Özyurt and Dr. Artunç Kocabalkan—will share their perspectives on how global developments in 2026 are likely to resonate within Turkey.

As geopolitical dynamics, financial conditions, and trade balances undergo profound transformation, this gathering will offer a forum where both risks and opportunities are addressed with candor and insight. Moving beyond surface-level commentary, the discussion will be shaped by sharp foresight, dynamic analysis, and thought-provoking questions—enriched by the active participation of our members.

Dr. Ahu Özyurt: Educated across three continents and with more than three decades of experience in leading media organizations, Özyurt is among Turkey’s most respected journalists. She served as Washington Correspondent for CNN Türk and Milliyet, wrote extensively on foreign policy, and anchored programs at Bloomberg HT and NTV. She was also the founding Editor-in-Chief of Woman TV, Turkey’s first women-focused television channel. Today, she lectures on Digital Media Literacy at MEF University, contributes foreign policy columns to Fikirturu.com, and reaches a broad audience through her YouTube channel.

Dr. Artunç Kocabalkan began his career in banking before playing a formative role in Turkey’s economic broadcasting landscape at CNBC-e, where he served for 12 years as Deputy Editor-in-Chief and anchor. With doctoral studies focused on financial systems, risk management, and market behavior, he now works as an independent advisor in corporate strategy and financial communication. He is the founder of bsekonomi.com and the creator of Economist TV, where he delivers daily commentary on global markets, geopolitical risks, and investment trends.
