Propeller Club May Meeting: Discussing Sports as a Business Model

Our monthly meeting on Thursday, May 29, at Grand Hyatt Istanbul began with an opening speech by Propeller Club President Yaprak Özer.
In our special May meeting, we explored the idea that sports are not just a passion but a major economic sector requiring professional management. Our speakers, Ebru Koksal, CFA, Şafak Müderrisgil (President of the Turkish Tennis Federation) and Zeynepgul Ene (Senior Basketball Professional), shared valuable insights based on their experiences in sports governance, finance, and inclusion.
This meeting reaffirmed that transformation in sports requires not just incremental steps but a fundamental shift in systems and leadership.
