Strategic Perspectives and Historical Depth in Istanbul

As Propeller Club Port of Istanbul, we are pleased to invite you to a distinguished gathering where, in a time of redefining global balances, maritime security, energy supply resilience, and the future of international trade will be addressed within a strategic framework.
During the luncheon, we will have the privilege of hosting Admiral Cem Gürdeniz, one of the most prominent figures of the Turkish Naval Forces and the architect of the “Blue Homeland” doctrine. His keynote address, “From Hormuz to Suez, from the Straits to the Mediterranean: Türkiye in the Global Security Equation,” will offer a considered perspective on Türkiye’s maritime positioning and the evolving geopolitical landscape across its surrounding regions.
Our gathering will take place at Muutto Anatolian Tapas Bar, featured in the 2026 Michelin Guide, where a refined menu curated by award-winning Chef Umut Karakuş—under his “migration cuisine” concept—will complement the occasion.
⚓ Following the luncheon, and with separate participation, we will visit the İstanbul Şehir Hatları Haliç Shipyard. With a history spanning 571 years, the Haliç Shipyard stands as one of the rare industrial sites defined by continuity rather than preservation alone. Still actively operating today, it represents a unique convergence of heritage and forward-looking transformation. This visit offers a distinctive extension to the day, bringing historical depth to the strategic discussions.
